Learn how to check which version of the plugin you have installed

Written by Blocks

We recommend keeping the Blocks plugin up to date. The current version is 2.2.2. You can also check the latest version on the Blocks plugin download page in the Autodesk App Store.

To check which version is installed on your computer, follow the steps below:

  3. Click Installed apps;

  4. In the search bar, type Blocks;

  5. Make sure List view is selected by clicking the icon with three horizontal lines (similar to this: ☰) on the right side of the search bar;

  6. Find the Blocks plugin in the list. The installed version will appear below the name Blocks BIM:

Depending on your Windows edition and version, these steps may vary. If you can’t find Installed apps in Settings, you can also open it directly:

  1. Press ⊞ Win + R;

  2. Type ms-settings:appsfeatures and press Enter.

In Windows Control Panel:

  3. Go to Programs > Uninstall a program;

  4. Type Blocks in the search bar;

  5. Make sure the list is set to Details (≣);

  6. Find the Blocks plugin. The version will appear in the Version column:

These steps may also vary depending on your Windows edition and version. You can also open the program list directly:

Additional notes

The plugin updates automatically by default, but this process can occasionally fail due to computer or network issues.

If your version is out of date, download the latest installer from the Autodesk App Store and run it with Revit fully closed. You do not need to uninstall the previous version, since installing the latest version updates the plugin automatically.

For much older plugin versions (1.0.3 or earlier), uninstall the current version first and then install the latest one.
