To download a family, click once with the left mouse button on it. While loading, the Blocks logo will appear in place of the family’s representation in the plugin, and then it will appear at your mouse cursor so you can insert it into your project.
If you have trouble changing the family's insertion plane, follow these steps:
Click to download the family;
Press Esc to cancel the insertion if it's on the wrong plane;
Press Cm (shortcut to insert a component), and the downloaded family will return to the cursor;
Change the insertion plane in the Revit toolbar (under Modify | Place Component).
