Where is the Blocks plugin?

How to find it in Revit

The Blocks plugin is available in the “Add-ins” tab in Revit. For it to appear correctly there, both Revit and the Blocks plugin need to be installed on your computer.

After installation, go to the Add-ins tab in Revit and click the Blocks button. This will open the plugin window inside Revit.

Once you sign in with the account details you created on our website, blocksrvt.com, you’ll be able to access your user profile and then our family library and finish materials.

Revit and the Blocks plugin are installed, but the plugin does not appear in the Add-ins tab

Several computer or network issues may prevent the plugin from appearing in Revit. As a first step, reopen Revit as an administrator and check whether the problem continues:

  1. Close Revit if it is open;

  2. Go to the Revit shortcut on your Windows desktop, or search for “Revit” in the Start menu;

  3. Right-click the Revit icon;

  4. Select “Run as administrator”;

  5. If a system confirmation window appears, click “Yes”.

If the plugin still does not appear, we recommend checking the following:

  • Whether the Blocks plugin is updated to the latest available version;

  • Whether your version of Revit is compatible with the plugin and updated to the latest build released by Autodesk.
